Rev. Matt Mitchell, PhD 

Senior Pastor

Matt is a husband and a father whose desire is to see the faith community give of themselves generously to the greater community-at-large. He is a firm believer in the church outside the four walls. Matt is a pastor and missionary; seeking to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ.  In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, collecting baseball cards, and solving mysteries.

Dr. Mitchell has been published in the Christian Education Journal, the Journal of Youth Ministry, and he also has several articles in the "Encyclopedia of Christianity in the United States" edited by George Thomas Kurian and Mark A. Lamport.

Michelle Owens

Children's Ministry Pastor

Michelle has a passion for children and works to build their relationship with Christ.  Michelle administers children programs at FWC and facilitates events that engage children.  Michelle is full of energy making all children that come to FWC feel welcomed and loved.  In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 

Gloria Ratchford

Office Administrator

Gloria has been office administrator for more than 30 years and truly loves serving the people of First Wesleyan Church. She is a lifelong Wesleyan and has been a member at First Wesleyan for 50 years.  She was married to Joe for 35 years before his untimely passing.  They are parents to three grown children, Matt, Seth and Robin.  She is blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.

Brittany Bardsley

Worship Leader

Brittany Bardsley is happy married to our church’s Director of Youth and Young Adults Ministry, Zach Bardsley. Together, they have 2 beautiful children: Ezekiel & Eliora. Brittany has a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana Wesleyan University but has found herself working in the medical field over the years. She is honored to use her musical gifts and talents to serve our church as the Worship Leader for our 11:00am Contemporary Service each Sunday.

Chris Stadler

Pastoral Care Minister

Chris has served our church in a variety of ways but his heartbeat is to see people come to know the Lord and to proclaim the Word of Truth. Outside of ministry, Chris enjoys studying history, spending time with his wife Roxanne and their two grown children, and being "Poppy" to an energetic Lilly Grace.
